Receiving the gift from Nina made me cry. The fact that someone I have only known for a few years, and just recently became closer to, would think so highly of me and care about me so much to choose me, out of all the people that have come into her life, and on top of it, be so extra generous, warmed my heart and made me feel so good inside.
My first act of kindness was to give my friend at work, Holly, a gift certificate for 5 acupuncture sessions with one of the women who teaches yoga teacher training. Holly is a beautiful soul and a beautiful, bright, creative person who has recently been held back so much by a series of unfortunate events in her life. I know how unpleasant and debilitating anxiety and stress can be, especially as a newly single mother, with a daughter who has many problems with her health and mind. I believe Holly just needs some quality time to herself to balance her mind a little and get back to a more positive view on life. I also am confident that Holly will have the desire to bring some happiness to someone else in her life, and will pass the journal along to someone she knows will also be excited to continue this journal of love and light.
